The Nishvil Jazz Festival is the largest and the most visited jazz festival in Southeastern Europe. This year it will bring together international jazz celebrities on August 11 to 14 in the region of Niš Fortress.
The Guardian British newspaper ranked the festival among the ten best jazz festivals in Europe, along with those in Montreux, Umbria, North Sea Jazz Festival and others. The musical program of this year’s festival features 110 concerts, which will show 660 artists on 11 stages. They will be applauded by about 150 000 visitors.
On the main stage Earth & Sky will perform Al Di Meola (USA), Dzhos Stoun (UK), Bill Evans Band (SASHT), Shakatak (UK), Soveto Kinch (UK), Saĭrŭs Kesten-Buster Williams Lenny White Trio (USA) Poduene Blues Band (BG) and many others. For young people who are the majority of the festival audience is prepared a Midnight Jazzdance scene, which will be given free rein to Nightmares On Wax (UK), Shuya Okino (JAP), Valique (RUS), Crazy Sound System P (UK), DJ Skill & Ramsey Hercules (BG) and others.
