Sun shining, violet enchanting, fascinating talented…Desi Dobreva! Known to us for her TV performances, today she keeps on delighting us with her stage presence as a singer, one of the candidates to represent Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest. Let’s wish her luck!
The beginning of the song
I sing since I was a little child. My mother even keeps my records from the age of 2-3 years. But as a child I didn’t dream of being a singer but a famous piano player. And actually I began singing professionally not until the ninth grade.
Dreams fulfilled
Being on the stage is a dream fulfilled but also a realized aim. Because dreams only are not enough to succeed. One shall be a realist. No matter what you do the progress demands not only talent but also a hard work, a good team, alert mind and most of all a huge luck. I like to aim high and I do all my best to achieve what I aim at.
Some memories
„The Slavi Show“ marked my life. It gave me experience, glory and professionalism. I learnt a lot of things and I am really thankful to the whole team, with which we stayed in touch and I always think of it with a lot of tender feelings and love. Being famous is a result of something and one shall never lose himself since the audience is the one to lift you up but also to bring you down from the footstall.
Colored worlds
I love traveling. No matter where I am and how long I stay there it is interesting to me always and everywhere. When I visit unknown place I try to feel its atmosphere. I close my eyes and listen the sounds or just open my eyes and absorb the colors of the town. If I have to sing where I am, I just comply with the sounds and colors. Because it makes easier for me to feel the moods and the expectations of the audience and respectively to sign the songs it would like and would be impressed by.
The road to Eurovision
Right now the Eurovision is the most desired European song contest aimed at making hits in Europe. The European hit is sung in English, simply this is the universal language. Even the Eurovision’s statistics show that the biggest number of songs-winners has been sung in English. That is why StronG, the song I recorded for the Eurovision is in English. This is a song combining a few styles, which comes to provoke the different fans and besides it includes the sounds of authentic gypsies’ orchestra and a Bulgarian folk song. This way the song mixes the traditions of the Bulgarian folklore and the spirit of our modern pop music to reach the modern generation.
