Bulgaria Set to Fight for a Place in the Eurovision 2025 Final – Second Semi-Final Confirmed
Bulgaria will once again step onto one of Europe’s most beloved music stages this May with its participation in Eurovision 2026. At an official draw ceremony in Vienna, the running order for the semi-finals of the jubilee 70th edition of the contest was announced, placing the Bulgarian entry in the second semi-final, scheduled for 14 May.
On the same night, audiences will also see performances from Armenia, Romania, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, Malta, Australia, Ukraine and several other countries, all competing for a coveted spot in the Grand Final on 16 May. The so-called “Big Five” — the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain and France — along with host country Austria, are automatically qualified for the final and therefore do not take part in the semi-final draw.
Bulgaria’s road to the international stage began back in December, when Bulgarian National Television (BNT) announced the names of the 15 performers competing in the national selection to determine who will represent the country. The list includes a mix of established pop artists and emerging talents eager to make their mark in front of a European audience. The national selection will unfold in three stages at the beginning of the year and will be broadcast live on BNT1.
For millions of Eurovision fans, this means weeks of musical anticipation ahead — discussions about potential favorites, speculation over which style Bulgaria will choose this year, and the familiar excitement of seeing how the country will position itself in Europe’s most watched music competition.
