On July 5 and 6, 2025, the Inter Expo Center in Sofia will once again transform into the stage for the largest event dedicated to pop culture, anime, cinema, comics, and gaming – Aniventure Comic Con. The event will bring together fans from across the country and abroad, united by their love for the fantastic world of heroes, art, and creativity.
Among the most anticipated highlights of the festival are appearances by global film stars. The audience will have the opportunity to meet Anthony Daniels – the legendary C-3PO from Star Wars, Evanna Lynch – well known as Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter, and Manu Bennett, who has appeared in The Hobbit, Arrow, and Spartacus. Joining them is Brian Muir, the sculptor behind the unforgettable images of Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers. A special highlight will also be the appearance of director Martin Campbell, known for GoldenEye, Casino Royale, and The Mask of Zorro.
The festival program is rich and diverse. Cosplay enthusiasts will enjoy an impressive show in Hall 1, where participants from Bulgaria and abroad will compete in various categories – from authenticity and stage presence to costumes and props. Qualifications for international competitions are also planned. In the same venue, there will be an AMV video contest with prize funds, as well as workshops on origami, calligraphy, gunpla, and other traditional Japanese arts. A special “Japan Zone” will offer an even deeper immersion into Eastern culture.
Gaming fans will gather in Hall 3, where tournaments for popular titles such as CS2, League of Legends, EA FC 25, Brawl Stars, Clash Royale, and Fortnite 2v2 will take place. The competitions will offer attractive prize pools, including BGN 1100 per day for the best players in CS2 and LoL.
Street art will also have a traditionally strong presence. In the graffiti zone, some of the most popular Bulgarian street artists will create live works, including Arsek & Erase, BRUS, GLOW, and others. Visitors will be able to watch the creative process and participate in special activities.
The Sunday climax will be the K-Pop stage, where groups and solo performers will showcase their dance skills before an enthusiastic audience. The festival will also offer a large commercial area, spaces for meeting favorite actors, photo sessions, and autograph opportunities.
Tickets for the event are already on sale. The two-day ticket costs BGN 75 for adults and BGN 35 for children aged 8 to 12. Single-day tickets are also available (Saturday – BGN 55/25, Sunday – BGN 45/25). Children under 7 enter free, while those aged 8 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult. For the most devoted fans, limited Ultra Package tickets are offered, including VIP access, fast lane entry, special gifts, and access to photo and autograph sessions – although these are currently sold out.
Aniventure Comic Con 2025 promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone who loves the world of fantasy, cinema, anime, games, and art. With a rich program, a star-studded lineup, and an atmosphere that cannot be described – only experienced – the festival is establishing itself as a cultural highlight on Sofia’s calendar.
